Recently, the Three-Year Action Plan of Zhengzhou Municipality to Promote the High-quality Urban Construction (2020-2022) (hereinafter referred to as the"Plan") was issued, stating that we should push forward the transformation of economic development mode through innovating the urban development mode, give play to the leading role of the planning for urban layout optimization, adhere to the strategy of "development driven by project", and accelerate the construction of core modules, major infrastructures, public service and ecological greening, and urban renovation and renewal from a big picture. A total of 2,443 projects are included in the 3-year plan, with a total investment of 814.3 billion yuan.
日前，郑州市印发《郑州市高品质推进城市建设三年行动计划（2020—2022年）》（以下简称《计划》），明确以城市发展方式转变推动经济发展方式转变，发挥规划引领作用，优化城市布局，坚持实施项目带动发展战略，统筹推进核心板块建设、重大基础设施、公共服务与生态绿化、城市改造更新等项目，3年内共计划实施2443个项目，力争完成投资8143亿元。
According to the Plan, in the light of the principle of "dominated by industry and based on the modern service industry", a total of 32 core modules are planned to serve as the support for the growing urban economy, new highlights of the urban construction and key points of the urban structure. Specifically, it involves 373 projects with an investment of 215 billion yuan. The urban design is scheduled to finish by the end of June 2020, and the projects will be basically implemented in 3 years and take shape in 5 years. Through coordinated development between the old and the new urban districts and transformation of downtown area, Zhengzhou aims to develop strengths of different parts of the city: strong economic competitiveness in the east, convenient traffic in the south, beautiful scenery in the west, peaceful academic area in the north, enhanced downtown functional area in the central part, and good connectivity of the whole urban area. 《计划》要求，按照“产业主导，现代服务业为主体”的原则，规划32个城市建设核心板块，将核心板块着力打造成为城市经济发展的支撑点、城市建设的新亮点和城市结构的关键点。32个核心板块共实施373个项目，投资2150亿元。2020年6月底，核心板块完成城市设计，3年内项目基本落地，5年内建成初具规模。带动新老城区统筹协调发展，推进中心城区转型升级，实现“东强、南动、西美、北静、中优、外联”的发展目标，展现古都新魅力、新活力。

Accelerate the construction of major infrastructures
加快重大基础设施建设
The Planproposes to speed up the major infrastructure construction for a higher urban carrying capacity, and to construct a transportation hub which features global access and global coverage, high efficiency internal connection and full functions relying on the construction of aviation, railway, expressway, waterless port, rail traffic, etc. By the end of 2022, an international integrated transportation hub will take shape, and Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport will handle 37.5 million passengers and 720,000 tons of cargos, respectively.

《计划》指出，要坚持规划引领、循序渐进、以人为本、权责明晰的工作原则，确保利用两到三年时间基本完成以城市道路、老旧小区、城乡接合部为主体的综合改造工程，推动道路、楼院、街区、市域共同提升，老区、新区、城乡接合部融合发展，基本实现城市环境“整洁、有序，舒适、愉悦”的目标，初步形成城市高质量、良性可持续发展的长效机制。

On April 3, the Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Statistics released the Statistical Bulletin of Zhengzhou's National Economic and Social Development in 2019on its official website. According to preliminary calculations, Zhengzhou's GDP reached 1,158.97 billion yuan in 2019, an increase of 6.5% over the previous year, making it one of the top 15 cities in China.
4月3日，郑州市统计局官网发布《2019年郑州市国民经济和社会发展统计公报》，初步核算，郑州2019年完成生产总值11589.7亿元，比上年增长6.5%，正式迈入全国GDP“15强城市”的阵营。
